Lydia's House Leaders In Transition (LIT) program provides community employment service options for transitional age youth and adults with special needs.
The unrest in Baltimore City and its pattern of concentrated poverty,
disconnected youth and culture of violence without recourse, inspired the
vision for the Leaders In Transition (LIT) program.

Work-Based Learning Experience
Assist individuals with learning and developing employment
skills and work behaviors that are required to achieve and
maintain positive employment outcomes. The LIT program
will provide individualized community-based work
experiences at a local community job site. The work-based learning services will help prepare individuals in becoming stronger leaders of our community and offer the ability to earn gainful employment.
JOB DEVELOPMENT
Job Development / Coaching
The LIT staff will work diligently to provide, identify individuals with disabilities to promote maximum integration in a community employment setting. The LIT program will develop hiring solutions through a customized employment process that seeks to understand the
needs, the interest, and the strengths of our leaders through various assessments and interviewing tools.
Youth Services (Future Leaders)
After high school, What's next?...
The LIT program will guide and assist eligible students with making informed choices by providing paid work-based learning opportunities in-school, after school, and throughout the summer months.
